KENYA  BOARD                                                              Aaron Kiura's Testimony

The most important thing in life is to discover why God created us, and to fulfill that purpose (Jer 1: 5). RAHMI is the vision we use to fulfill the purpose of our creation by lifting Jesus to the spiritually and physically needy across villages in Kenya, streets in Africa, and around the world. Do you know why God created you?  Maybe you were created to use your gifts, talents, skills, or finances to help the spiritually and physically needy. Methuselah was allowed to live 969 years (Gen.5: 25-27). What did he do with his years? What can we do with our years? Partner with RAHMI to make a difference.

RAHMI:  Revival And Harvest Ministry International is also an Arabic word - rahim - which means compassionate and/or merciful actions. RAHMI was founded by Rev. Aaron Kiura Matti and his wife, Rev. Bancy Wanjiru Kiura on November 24th, 1990.

For approximately five years (1990-1995), RAHMI concentrated its mission work within African countries through the founders. As the vision grew, theological training, leadership training, and financial resources became limiting factors for the expansion of the vision.

In 1996, the Lord led the founders to take a step of faith in preparation for some years of theological and leadership training. In January 1997, the Kiura family resigned from their jobs, sold all they had and left Kenya for training in USA.

Beginning in January 1997, Aaron and Bancy were in school preparing for this divine calling. The Lord met all their needs while in school by putting people in their lives that were able to provide housing, vehicles, food, and other needs,  The Lord also graciously provided funds and RAHMI bought 34 acres of Land in Thika, a city 25 miles north of Nairobi. RAHMl continued to be blessed and in October of 2000 the ministry was recognized and registered by the U.S. federal government as a tax-deductible 501(C)(3)  non-profit organization.

RAHMI is also a registered tax-deductible and non-profit organization by Kenyan government. RAHMI operates in five areas of ministry: Missions ministry, Theological-leadership training ministry, Samaritan ministry, Medical ministry and Education ministry. The five ministries are aimed at combating spiritual and physical poverty in Kenya and regions beyond by meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the whole man.

In 2005, Aaron and Bancy completed most of their educational training.  They had earned a total of 8 combined degrees.  In October of that year, they returned to Kenya to start the church that God had shown them He wanted to build.  In February 2006, twenty-five people met in a rented hall in Nairobi for the first church service.  Currently the church has over 400 attenders with approximately 200 regular attenders.  They have outgrown the hall and are currently looking for land to purchase and on which to build a church.  They have also organized over 10 cell groups which meet in the neighborhoods for prayer and Bible teaching.  Dr. Kiura personnally is training the cell group leaders to teach their neighbors about Jesus.
