RAHMI aims to help combat physical poverty through urban self-dependency youth polytechnic trainingand rural self-sustainable projects to elevate the standard of living among the poorest families. These skills will include computer technology; tayloring and sewing machine skills; cooking;carpentry; driving; computer skills; and many others.  As the Lord provides, The Duncan Adams School of Technology will be built on part of 32 acres in Thika that has been purchased by the ministry.  To learn more about who Duncan Adams is and how her life has already impacted the people in Kenya, click here.

In rural areas goat banks will be established.  With financial support, RAHMI plans to raise goats in different rural centers.  These will enable the poorest of the poor to develop a livelihood that can lift them from the pits of poverty.  A pair of goats can provide milk, meat, fur, and skins to support a family.  Goats multiply faster than cows and  can  become viable income for a family.  They can also provide milk  that is essential for healthy growth in children.  Fifty dollars can buy a pair of goats, but  other costs including care for the goats until they can be given away  must be factored  in.  Until the  ministry can financially sustain this program, it will not move forward as quickly as the ministry would like to see.

RHAMI church members in Africa are nevertheless proceeding with Samaritan efforts through their work with several of the orphanages in the city.  They have partnered with the World Children's Organization to provide food, and clothing to many of the area's orphans.  They have also been able to share Jesus with the children.
